The dead fall Atlantic White Cedar was taken from various places near the shop. The wood selected
was not suitable for boats as it was usually to short or thin. White cedar has an aroma
just as its Red cedar sister. We have built many chests of White cedar for this reason.
The Toy Chests are in the style of trains Caboose. The top of the box is a small compartment
for favorite small toy. The bottom is larger an can be used for storing those favorite
stuffed animals or blanks when the child out grows the box. The end of the boxes are for books
and such. My boys really gave their toy box
a testing and the new chests were built with this in mind.
The Chest is thirty-four inches long, thirteen inches wide and twenty-four inches high. It is very light when empty and will no doubt be rolled about a lot. It would be an ideal place to stencil what a mother may wish. The finish is clear and the wood will darken a bite with age. The price is Two Hundred Twenty Five dollars.
